Ripple has partnered with Web3 Salon, a major Web3 initiative supported by JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization) and powered by the Asia Web3 Alliance Japan, to support the next wave of blockchain startups in Japan.

This collaboration focuses on growing Japan’s digital asset ecosystem—an already strong market with deep technical talent, clear regulations, and increasing interest in areas like DeFi (Decentralized Finance), tokenized assets, and digital payments.

💰 Up to $200,000 in Grants for XRPL Startups

As part of the partnership, Ripple will offer grant funding of up to $200,000 per project over the next year. This program is backed by the XRPL Japan and Korea Fund, which is part of Ripple’s broader 1 Billion XRP commitment.

Startups selected for this grant will be:

  • Based in Japan
  • Building on the XRP Ledger (XRPL)
  • Focused on areas like DeFi, tokenized real-world assets (RWA), and digital payments

Ripple will manage the grant process and choose recipients based on factors like their growth potential, innovation, and how well they align with Ripple’s strategic goals.

Besides funding, these startups will also get access to Ripple’s global partner network, technical experts, and potential customers.

🤝 Founder Support Through Web3 Salon

While Ripple provides financial and network support, Web3 Salon will guide the startups with:

  • Mentorship programs
  • Workshops
  • Investor and regulator networking

This isn’t just a grant program—it’s a multi-stakeholder platform that encourages collaboration between startups, financial institutions, regulators, and global innovators.

🗓️ Four Major Events by March 2026

Ripple and Web3 Salon will host four major events in Japan through March 2026. These events aim to spotlight top XRPL projects and promote collaboration across the Web3 space.

The events will include:

  • Startup pitch competitions
  • Panel discussions with industry experts
  • Investor networking opportunities
  • Workshops on compliance, tokenization, and global scaling

These gatherings are designed to accelerate both startup growth and the overall blockchain ecosystem in Japan.

🇯🇵 Why Japan?

Japan is known for clear crypto regulations and a strong focus on consumer protection. But strict structures can make it hard for new startups to navigate. Ripple and Web3 Salon aim to lower these barriers and help local projects succeed.

“Japan is one of the most exciting and challenging markets for Web3,” said Hinza Asif, President of Asia Web3 Alliance Japan.
“This partnership will help founders connect global innovation with Japan’s tech industry.”

🗣️ Ripple’s Take

“Ripple is proud to support Japan’s fast-growing startup ecosystem,” said Christina Chan, Senior Director of Developer Growth at RippleX.
“This partnership with Web3 Salon will help us unlock new opportunities and support the next generation of blockchain innovators.”

Conclusion:
This partnership between Ripple and Web3 Salon is more than just financial support—it’s a united effort to grow Japan’s blockchain sector. By combining Ripple’s resources with local mentorship and support, the initiative aims to turn Japan into a global leader in Web3 innovation.
